Join us for a lighthearted and practical session of Death Preparedness Bingo! Death may be inevitable but how prepared we are does not have to be. During the game we will cover essential end of life questions:
- Have you made an advance care plan?
- Is your will up to date?
- Who holds your Enduring Power of Attorney or Guardianship?
- Who needs to know (or not know) when you pass away?
- What provisions are in place for your children or pets?
- Are you registered (or not) for organ and tissue donation?
If any of these made you pause you are not alone and that is exactly what we will tackle at Death Curious Conversations. Expect an engaging supportive environment where you will walk away having checked off important death readiness boxes. It is one of the most meaningful conversations you will ever have and your loved ones will thank you.
A Death Cafe aims to:
- Create space for open dialogue about death: Conversations help to break down the taboos and fears often associated with death and dying.
- Promote death literacy: Talking openly about death allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of end-of-life matters and grief.
- Encourage personal reflection: These conversations often lead to insights about life, helping people re-evaluate their priorities, relationships, and the ways they live each day.
This event is for 18+ participants.
This is not a grief support session, but a safe space for curiosity and connection.
This event is facilitated by Heartfelt Celebrancy and hosted by Metropolitan Memorial Parks.
