Friends of Rookwood Guided Tour

Dare to uncover the darker side of history on the Friends of Rookwood’s infamous Murder and Mayhem Tour. Step into the shadows as you explore chilling tales of hangings, robbery, grisly murders, and tragic misadventures. Learn of fearless individuals who lost their lives in the line of duty, and hear spine-tingling stories of the Blue Mountains murders, the notorious Mount Rennie case, and ill-fated fishermen caught in treacherous storms.

This walking tour is hosted by Friends of Rookwood. 

Important Information:

• Enter from East Street entrance, arrive at St Michael's Chapel off William Drive at 9:30am for a 10am start.
• This is a walking tour 
• Bookings recommended— this is a paid event with proceeds raised by the Friends of Rookwood going towards restoration projects within the cemetery.
• Please wear enclosed walking shoes, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water-bottle.
• Please dress for the weather including sun, wind or rain.
