Friends of Rookwood Twilight Tour

You'll spend an evening immersed in history and mystery. As the sun sets and the air cools, you'll wander through the cemetery's historic grounds, hearing captivating tales of notable figures like Captain Moonlite, Jacob Pitman, and Louisa Lawson. Discover the chilling story of a murder that once shook this sacred place, and enjoy a stroll beside the Serpentine Canal, where the beautifully restored landscape echoes the elaborate garden designs of the 19th century. 

This walking tour is hosted by Friends of Rookwood.

Important Information:

• Enter from East Street entrance, arrive at St Michael's Chapel off William Drive at 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start.
• This is a walking tour 
• Bookings essential— this is a paid event with proceeds raised by the Friends of Rookwood going towards restoration projects within the cemetery.
• Please wear enclosed walking shoes, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water-bottle.
• Please dress for the weather including sun, wind or rain.
