Rookwood Crematorium

The All Souls Chapel at Sydney's Rookwood Cemetery, built in 1954, combines classic Art Deco charm with modern amenities for farewell services. It features live streaming, large TV screens, flexible setups, and disability access.

 

The chapel accommodates multi-faith services and offers climate-controlled comfort. Cremation services are available (additional fee), providing an elegant and inclusive space for all attendees.

The South Chapel can seat approximately 120 people on pews which includes a mezzanine level. For larger services the South Chapel can be extended through into the columbarium where there is additional seating for 50 people on chairs and further standing room. The chapel is air conditioned with audio visual facilities. The audio visual presentation can be viewed in the chapel on one 70” Plasma TV screens and outside on an external 55” Plasma TV screen.

Our original East Chapel has a view into the gardens over the catafalque. It can seat approximately 70 people on pews. For larger services the East Chapel can be extended through into the foyer and columbarium where there is additional seating for 50 people on chairs and further standing room. The chapel is air conditioned with audio visual facilities. The audio visual presentation can be viewed in the chapel on two 55” Plasma TV screens and outside on an external 55” Plasma TV screen. 

The West Chapel seats approximately 60 people on chairs and has standing room for another 25 people. The chapel is air-conditioned with audio visual facilities. The audio visual presentation can be viewed in the chapel on two 70” Plasma TV screens and outside on an external 55” Plasma TV screen.
