Find information below about current maintenance, clean-up and development works taking place across our memorial parks. These projects help support the ongoing care and future growth of our parks. We work closely with families and visitors to minimise disruption and preserve spaces for connection, reflection and remembrance. For more information about works at a specific location, please contact your memorial park.

Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium

An extension of the Jewish lawn located at Governor’s Boulevard in Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium is currently being developed to meet future needs for the Jewish community. The extension works will create an additional 785 burial plots for the Jewish community, with approximately 498 lawn monumental and 287 full monumental burial plots. Works are due to commence on Monday 7 September, taking approximately 12 weeks to complete.

 

Access information

Families can still visit loved ones in surrounding areas, however, access to some memorial locations may be limited at times. Please contact administration before visiting for access information. Detours may be in place around the work site to help manage traffic safely. Please follow any signage and directions when travelling through the area. Our Operations and Customer Service teams will work closely with Sydney Chevra Kadisha and families to minimise impacts while ensuring burial services in surrounding areas continue safely and respectfully.

Woronora Memorial Park and Crematorium

The Greek 2 Monumental Lawn (Koimhthpia) at Woronora Memorial Park and Crematorium is currently being developed to provide additional memorialisation options for the Greek community. The extension works are taking place in Greek 2 Koimhthpia, at the western end of the memorial park, providing an additional 240 burial plots. The works commenced on 22 June 2026 and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete.

 

Access information

Families can continue to visit loved ones in nearby areas; however, access to some memorial locations may be temporarily restricted during works. Our operations and customer services teams will work closely with funeral directors and families to ensure all burial services in surrounding areas can proceed safely and respectfully. Detours may be in place with signage to guide traffic safely around the site. Please remain vigilant, follow all traffic management directions and contact the administration team before visiting if you have any questions.
